Installing Presets
How do I install the presets in Lightroom Classic or Lightroom (desktop)?
Import the .xmp files as presets through the Develop module (Presets panel, the plus icon, Import Presets), then apply like any other preset. Full step by step instructions with video are in the User Guide PDF included in your download.
How do I install the presets in Lightroom Mobile?
Use the DNG files from your pack, not the .xmp files. Save the DNGs to your phone's photos, open each one in Lightroom Mobile, go to Presets, tap the three dots, choose Create Preset, name it and save it into a new preset group. In the Light section, untick Exposure before saving, this keeps the preset from overriding your own exposure. Repeat for each DNG, it takes about five minutes total.
How do I install the presets in Photoshop Camera Raw?
No conversion needed. In the Camera Raw Presets panel, tap the three dots and choose Import Profiles and Presets, then select the Advanced version ZIP file itself without unzipping it. Use the Advanced version, not the Beginner version, for Camera Raw.
I installed a preset and it says "duplicate or invalid." What do I do?
This almost always means the preset was not installed the way its app expects (for example using the .xmp file in Lightroom Mobile instead of the DNG). Follow the install method for your specific app above, or check the video walkthrough in the User Guide PDF.
Compatibility
What software do I need?
Adobe Lightroom Classic, Lightroom (desktop or mobile), or Photoshop with Camera Raw. The free version of Lightroom Mobile is enough to install and use the presets.
Will the presets work on any photo?
They are built for a dark, moody, cinematic look, so they work best on images that are not already overexposed or shot in harsh, bright light. For the full effect shown on this site, pair the preset with some manual masking in Lightroom, that is what actually separates a flat edit from a cinematic one. The User Guide PDF covers basic masking too.
Orders and Downloads
I did not get my download email. What now?
Check your spam or promotions folder first, the email comes from Shopify directly. If you still cannot find it, email info@pattakespictures.co.uk with your order number and it will be resent.
Can I get a refund or exchange a pack for a different one?
All preset packs are digital downloads, so they are not refundable or exchangeable once purchased. If a file is genuinely broken or a download link is not working, that is on us to fix, contact info@pattakespictures.co.uk and it will be sorted.
I lost my download or need to redownload. Do I need to buy again?
No. Use the download link from your original order confirmation email, it stays active. If presets were updated or fixed since your purchase, the same link always points to the current files, so redownloading gets you the latest version automatically.
Still Stuck

One person runs this whole thing, so you are talking to the person who actually built the presets.
